So-called Democrats in Congress are urging the President to bypass Congress on the debt ceiling issue. They supposedly believe that the 14th Amendment allows him to do this. Here's the text to which they refer:
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.
I believe the relevant phrase is "public debt of the United States, authorized by law". Since there is a legal debt ceiling, no debt in excess of that ceiling would in fact be authorized by law.
Clearly, Obama ad-Dajjal and his so-called Democrat supporters either have not read, do not understand, and/or refuse to follow the US Constitution.
Who elected these clowns?
