Punishing people of conscience

When former AG Ramsey Clark sought to testify that the activities of the Y-12 Plant were illegal, the judge would not allow it. When the defendants mentioned (in so many words) that the Nuremberg Code specifies that all citizens are responsible for what their government does, the judge didn't want to hear it.


Apparently, in the US war crimes are now "legal", but protesting against them is "illegal". Something's wrong here. Can you see what it is?


Please note: I am not encouraging you to commit a similar crime. I am suggesting that what these people did should never have been considered a crime in the first place.
