A clarification to that post is in order, one regarding the Muslim Messiah. Although Muslims believe that Isa (Jesus) will assist al-Mahdi in defeating ad-Dajjal and his followers, they believe that Isa (like al-Mahdi) is a man and not a deity. In their view, under no circumstances would he declare himself to be G-d in a holy place or anywhere else. Therefore, he cannot be responsible for the abomination of desolation.
So, how did we come to the paradoxical conclusion that Jesus could be His own Antichrist? It was because He will do two things which normally are attributed to the Antichrist and which constitute the abomination of desolation:
- He will halt the daily temple sacrifices, and
- He will reveal Himself to be G-d.
Please note that nowhere in the New Testament does it say that the temple sacrifices will RESTART after the abomination of desolation. The Book of Revelation says that the following will happen instead:
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Revelation 21:2-3 KJV
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Revelation 21:22 KJV
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

No temple means no sacrifices required. Jesus will have redeemed us, and there shall be no curse. We will have been restored to our earned place in Paradise.
The betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot and the abomination of desolation both are events that had to happen so that the Kingdom of G-d could be established. Although neither are attributed to Jesus Himself, certainly He permitted them to happen so that His Father's will could be done.
Do I think Jesus will be His own Antichrist? No, I do not. I think the abomination of desolation will be set up by the King of the North, as prophesied by Daniel. He will be a man (or a kingdom) that pretends to be Christian.
The Antichrist will imitate Jesus in all things. His imitation will be so perfect that he might fool all but the elect. Adding to the difficulty of determining his true nature is the fact that G-d will blind us to it, with strong delusion:
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 KJV
Doesn't it seem to you that a dam broke when Obama ad-Dajjal ascended to the earthly throne given to him by Satan? His lawlessness is unequaled and continues to grow day by day. Congress won't stop him. Why? Because they have pleasure in unrighteousness.
I also believe that the identity of the King of the North is what we call NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. NATO also has the following characteristic of the fourth kingdom prophesied by Daniel:
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

What Obama ad-Dajjal, the United States, and other members of NATO are doing in the Middle East and specifically what they are now planning to do in Syria appear to be the actions expected from the King of the North. The End Times are here. Pray hard ... pray very hard.
