What We Lose If We Give Up Privacy

Here's the latest Peggy Noonan "privacy" essay in the Wall Street Journal:

Good essay, Peggy! But it contains a serious flaw, as do all such essays. It offers NO WORKABLE SOLUTION to the stated problem.

No amount of whining is going to stop the privacy thieves.

No comparisons to what the Founders intended are going to make any difference.

No statements to the effect that "this is a BIG deal" are going to matter.

What are we going to DO? If the answer is NOTHING, then all these op-eds are just a bunch of hot air, and the ruling class and their accomplices in the one percent have already won the battle. You might as well hold out your wrists so they can put on the cuffs. Maybe if you sniffle they won't tighten them too much.
