Questioning the official BM bombing conspiracy theory

A few days ago, I blogged about the discrepancies in the official BM bombing conspiracy theory (i.e., that the two Chechen brothers committed the deed):

Here now is a followup piece with an embedded video interview of Russ Baker, whose website questions the official story:

Take note of a few things:

  • The interviewer states that many people in Boston and in her "news" organization have emotional obstacles to being objective about this event.
  • The interviewer appears to be ridiculing Mr. Baker, often snickering or laughing about his claims.
  • The interviewer is consistently antagonistic to Mr. Baker's claims and concerns.
  • Apparently, her "news" organization has accepted the official story and sees no reason to challenge it, or even to further investigate it. The chief purpose of this interview is to persuade people that Russ Baker is a nut.

If this is how our "news" organizations act, I would not be surprised to learn that we NEVER get to know what actually happens in the US anymore. Apparently they report often wildly inaccurate "facts" and then circle the wagons behind whatever official story the government chooses to print. And then they ridicule anyone who disagrees.

That is not freedom of the press. That is tyranny of the mind.
