The Two-State Delusion

Israelis are asking whether their PM is ready to make "moves of historic dimensions":

“I am committed to achieving peace with our neighbors the Palestinians and with all our neighbors,” Netanyahu insisted, intimating that the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002, which promises normalization with the Arab world in the event of peace with the Palestinians, could be the basis for a major regional peace move. “We are ready to negotiate with the Arab states on updating the initiative so that it reflects the dramatic changes that have taken place in our region since 2002, but preserves the agreed goal of two states for two peoples,” he declared.

Or is it "moves of historic dementia"?

Israelis now live in a lush garden, while their neighbors have been banished to lifeless deserts.

Israelis have all the latest modern conveniences, while their neighbors live (if you can call it living) in vast heaps of rubble.

Any and all threats to Israel have been neutralized by US military and monetary might ... except Iran, which appears to be our next target for destruction.

What exists in the Middle East today is equivalent to what the US achieved after our Civil War. We exterminated most of the American Indians, and created "two states for two peoples" - purple mountain majesties and amber waves of grain for the whites, and empty deserts called reservations for the Indians.

Most of us now can see the injustice of what the US did, but why can no one see the equivalent injustice of what the Israelis have done, are doing, and soon will do?
