Wacky Cure For Autism ???

Here is a report about a "wacky" church which claims to have a cure for autism:

I have no idea whether or not this stuff "cures" autism. I strongly doubt that it does. I do NOT recommend that you give it to anyone.

But I'd like to point out a few things about the report which are worth discussing:

1. Just about every church has ideas which nonbelievers consider to be "wacky". But to call them that prejudices the audience, doesn't it?

2. Many chemicals are harmful in concentrated form but therapeutic when given in controlled doses. For example, mercury (a poison) once was used by licensed MDs to "treat" syphilis, and horrible poisons still are used to "treat" cancer. The issue isn't whether they are "poisons", but rather if they work or not.

3. The report does not evaluate the status of anyone who got this "treatment". Did they improve or not? Were they harmed or not? It doesn't say.

4. But it does claim without proof that there is no cure for autism, therefore this stuff couldn't possibly be effective.

So, the report implies that you may continue to subject your children to potentially harmful vaccines (some of which contain the poison mercury), but please don't do anything which is not approved by Big Med and Big Pharma.

Doesn't that in itself sound "wacky" to you?
