Drugs Killed More Of Us Than The War In Vietnam

More people were killed in the US by the "war on drugs" in 2016 than the number of US soldiers killed in Vietnam. You can read about it here:

And yet:

  • Afghanistan still grows opium poppies
  • Pakistan (and others) still make heroin
  • Cartels still smuggle in drugs by the trainload
  • Dealers still deal

Something is drastically wrong here. What do you think it is?

I think the powers that be are quite happy to accept their share of the profits as long as it's the rest of us and our children who are doing the suffering and dying.
