If you read the Bible closely, you will find that it tells us to love G-d, not Israel:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:37 KJV
Trump, like most so-called Christians, is confused. We don't have to "love Israel" ... but neither should we hate them or any other nation. It is G-d Whom we should love, along with our neighbors and our enemies.
And it definitely is not clear that we are doing so.
